Have a Punny Halloween

Witches, devils, monsters . . . sure, they're fun on Halloween. But what can you wear if you want to make people think - and laugh?

  1. Wear what amounts to a large cereal box, decorated with your favorite cereal name, etc. and carry something lethal, like a bloody knife or an assault rifle. What are you? A CEREAL KILLER, of course.
  2. Take a witch's hat and cover it with glue and sand. Put it on along with a beige outfit and you've become a SAND-WITCH
  3. This one takes some thinking: wear white, coal for buttons, carrot nose, top hat (if you can)...with me so far? Now, carry a plastic toy bull and some fake dynamite wired to an alarm clock. Okay, what are you? You are an "a bomb and a bull snowman". It's worth the groans you'll get from your friends!
  4. If you are a couple, you might want to try dressing as a:
  • drunk and a pink elephant
  • corpse and a coroner
  • criminal and their defense attorney
  • writer/composer and character from one of their works

Or, come up with your own ideas. Have fun!

Would You Eat a 110-Year-Old Tootsie Roll?

Who doesn't love candy? Am I right?

Did you know that the classic Tootsie Roll celebrates 110 years of chocolately joy this year. Although it was introduced in 1896 and it's been around for a long time, there's another candy that beats this record by a few years.

Take a guess.

Is it:

a) Necco Wafers
b) Good & Plenty
c) Life Savers
d) Baby Ruth

Don't scroll down until you're ready to see the answer....

The answer is...

b) Good & Plenty

The oldest branded candy in the United States, it was introduced in 1893 by the Quaker City Confectionary Company of Philadelphia.

Years of introduction by the others:

a) Necco Wafers - ~1910
c) Life Savers - 1912
d) Baby Ruth - 1920

Feet Wet

BLOG

When I first heard that word, I thought to myself, "Great; another internet FAD!" So, I decided to sit on the edge of the pool, as it were, and see if this "thing" would catch on. Well, I suppose I've spent enough time on the edge and it's time to get my feet wet and try this new phenomenon.

I wonder if it's true that IF YOU BLOG IT, THEY WILL COME?

So, will anyone read this? Only time will tell.

So long for now.
